This post is a look at a major marketing event that happened over the last 14 days, by someone I have the chance to met and talk to a few weeks ago- John Reece.

You may have heard of – Blog Rush- A tool for getting more visitors/readers for blog owners. Lets look at the elements –(or know as…”just the facts” plus the “Marketing Why”

What is it? A tool to add to your blog, A way of getting more readers and its free. I could stop here but really the marketing is the edge here – See anybody can make a free tool for blog owners (which number in the millions and increase every day….)

Now give credits to those who sign up for the free account, that gives you more traffic and also the more people sign up an use it the more exposure you get …. And it goes on and on…..

Add in that that its simply explained at the blog rush site using video and you can see how it just grows virally….Now currently in use in over 1.4 million sites….and what does this mean to John Reece after all he is not making a dollar of any of these….actually its probably cost him money to set it up and run.

You could look at the simple fact of the list of over 1 million users already….but really that is short sited….let look at the ongoing list building…..

Lets say most sites are not very active, and out of the 1.4 million site, only 10 thousand, have any real traffic. So lets say each of them creates 1 new user to blog rush – so 10K sites- 1 new user to blog rush per day –10K more blog rush users every day….(complete with first anme and email details…..)

Now I know building a list around a free service is open to abuse by the owner of the list, not John, here is, where you see a true professional at work, he is providing information. Not affiliate links and leading(pre selling?) into his owner major launch for his product site, Income.com

His list of blog rush users will act as a group of “raving customers” and affiliates of Johns products. John was famous for his 1 million dollars in 24 hours a few years ago. I predict that will look tiny compared to the next one……

A lot of marketers will say the money is in the list- Yes and No..always remember the money is in the relationship with the list Regardless what market you are in people want to deal will others, they trust and believe to be honest.

Sometimes, specifically those selling internet marketing products, have a “fantastic offer” –every day….now do they make money out of it ? yes….At the same time what about creditability? Is it quality or are you promoting at item for the buck?

I have a few rules which I encourage you consider:

1. Only promote items you have purchased or have all the details of –That includes any affiliate programs
2. Service value- look to provide a service, by recommending quality
3. Be selective –Many products are available, remember you are putting “your” name on it….
4. Timing- should you send an email every day to any list?

I am currently in the process of creating a brand new product, all around the free traffic you can expect from winning with the search engines and have been carefully watching some other high dollar products on similar products.

In most cases, they have made it look like “rocket science” – which is slightly over done, the right advice, applied in the right way plus an understanding of the rules, an inclusion of the rules, applied with some work, will get you results.

(I hope to be able to help many others and avoid the mistakes I made)

It’s a couple of weeks away, and I may open it up to a few readers to look it over, before it opens to the public (includes a 101% affiliate program too BTW
